Abstract. A new Sobralia species is described, illustrated and compared with S. breadeorum and S. warscewiczii. The new species is distinguished by the ovate leaves, the flowers with larger, reflexed, oblong-lanceolate sepals, the broader petals and the bilobed lip with four central keels.
