La Reserva Natural Absoluta Cabo Blanco (RNACB) forma parte del Área de Conservación Tempisque, en la provincia de Puntarenas, con una superficie de 1.270 hectáreas terrestres y 1.700 hectáreas marinas en el extremo sur de la Península de Nicoya. La reserva fue el primer proyecto importante de conservación en Costa Rica. Fue fundada por iniciativa de los ciudadanos suecos Wessberg Nicolás y su esposa Karen Mogensen, el 21 de octubre de 1963.

The Cabo Blanco Absolute Natural Reserve (CBNAR) is part of the Tempisque Conservation Area in the province of Puntarenas, covering an area of 1270 ha terrestrial and 1700 ha marine on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula. The reserve was the first major conservation project in Costa Rica. It was founded by the initiative of the Swedish Nicolas Wessberg and his wife Karen Mogensen in October, 21 1963.
