SYNTYPES: A native of the environs of Oaxaca, whence it was sent to me this spring by the Messrs. Sadler of that place. I have also received the plant from Mr. Harris (lectotype designated by Halbinger & Soto (1997), a raceme, without data, mounted with t. 54 of Bot. Reg. 25 (1839), and two collections from Harris, K).
