TYPE: Nicaragua. Granada: epiphytic in cloud forest on Mombacho Volcano, J.T. Atwood s.n., cultivated by J. & L. Orchids, Easton, CT, flowered in cult. 7 Nov 1977, C. Luer 2118 (holotype, SEL; detail of the flower).
