TYPE: Ecuador. Imbabura: epiphytic in cloud forest above Apuela, alt. ca. 3000 m, July 1977, W. Teague s.n., cultivated in San Francisco, Calif., flowered in cult. 21 April 1979, C. Luer 4059 (holotype, SEL).
